Volunteer Agreement

Please carefully read the following terms. Upon signing up for a volunteer opportunity, you will be asked to confirm that you agree.

Treat all guests, staff, and fellow volunteers with respect and kindness.
Arrive on time for your shift and arrange timely drop-off and pick-up.
Stay for the entire duration of your shift unless prior arrangements have been made with our staff.
Wear closed-toe shoes and appropriate attire. Shorts must be knee-length, and tank tops or dresses are not permitted.
Understand that volunteering may involve standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, and exercising reasonable care to avoid injury.
Adhere to Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen’s 72-hour cancellation policy if you are unable to make your shift.
Secure personal belongings, as Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Notify staff immediately if you are uncomfortable with an assigned task.
Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen reserves the right to discontinue your volunteer service at its discretion.

By volunteering, you acknowledge and assume all risks associated with your participation, including, but not limited to, risks of bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, or property damage that may arise during or as a result of your volunteer work.
You agree to release and discharge Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen, its successors, employees, officers, directors, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action, whether in law or in equity.
You further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen against any claims by third parties resulting from your conduct while volunteering.
You acknowledge that Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen does not provide financial or medical assistance, including Workers’ Compensation or disability insurance, in the event of injury or illness.
If you are a parent or guardian of a minor volunteer, you accept these terms on their behalf and affirm that you have the authority to do so.

You grant Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen and its sponsors the right to use any photographs, videos, or audio recordings taken during your volunteer activities. This includes rights to edit, duplicate, distribute your photograph or videos in any medium.
You agree to relinquish any claims to royalties or other benefits derived from these materials.

Disclaimer: If you wish to opt out of the Photographic Release, please inform the volunteer lead on the day of your shift.
